When it comes to virtual communications—whether it be email, phone, etc.—both the speed and content of your response matter. No matter how great the content, the emotion to drive movement is gone because there is a lack of urgency. Simply telling someone, “Thank you for this, I will get to it by tomorrow.”, is far better than leaving communication open ended until you can respond.
